Doing ‘smart’ design

I have read many articles about ‘smart’ design. I am tired. Very free of them give me a hint. No need to mention ‘smart’ ships. Or autonomous ships if you want to label them. For me, all these work are about misapplication of technology. No current autonomous ships can solve all navigation scenarios without human intervention by understanding case/effect and adapting to changing situation. I can continue typing more arguments; however, today I find an inspiration work. So let’s me introduce a smart city design project. The work is done by Dr. Ding Wang. Enjoy!
